LIVEWIRE ~ Starlight Charity ~Supporting Kids & Families living with Serious Illness

Loved speaking to the LIVEWIRE parents of kids who are facing prolonged hospitalisation, and fighting illness. There were lots of parents online.  It was a special experience.

Loved sharing my book ‘Butterflies’ with them.

Award Winning Scottish Author Linda Strachan Speaks at SCBWI Australia

Australian SCBWI authors, illustrators and members gathered at the Hughenden to listen to visiting Scottish author.

It was wonderful to catch up with award winning author Meredith Costain who flew up from Melbourne and the Singing Librarian Claire Stuckey who drove down from the Central Coast and stayed the weekend at The Hughenden in Sydney.

Her latest edgy teenage novels: SPIDER published by Strident has won the Catalyst Teenage Book Award 2010  and her latest novel, DEAD BOY TALKING has just been released.

Storyteller Anna Conomos Weaves Magic at The Hughenden

The Hughenden sun lounge was abuzz with kids, parents, adults, storytellers as Anna Conomos the storyteller wove stories of heart and mind among the audience. With Kaiji of Life Rhythms Music on the cello and Angela of Drumbeats on the drums, accompanying Anna.

In was an afternoon where we could engage in story and values that matter. Sharing, relating, engaging in music and the magic of story.
