Congratulations to Dr Lisa Kervin Convenor of the fabulous, innovative and exciting ALEA (Australian Literacy Educators’ Association) Conference, Sydney.

The WOW factor was there with some of Australia’s most renowned authors Sandy Fussell, Jackie French, Mem Fox, Libby Gleeson… as well as outstanding academics in the field of literacy.

I got a chance to catch up with one of my favourite academics and authors in the area of literacy, Dr Margaret Zeegers and the talented Brad Beales. Love it when an academic like Brad has multi skills – he’s an actor and teacher inspiring young people.

Also caught with the vivacious and talented young adult author from Western Australia A.J. Betts.

In my session, I was privileged to speak about storytelling through my JACK books.
