‘Take risks’ to engender change for women. Inspiring Tracey Spicer at Scone Literary Festival , she was incredible - honest, brave, standing up for MeToo Australia giving women a voice. She brought Don Burke the gardening guru and actor Craig Mclaughlin star of Rocky Horror Show in Australia to account for sexual harrassment. But more than that, she's an author, advocate for social justice and commentator. Watch out for the next elections - she's supporting a new voice Jane Caro

She received huge applause!

What a way to start a literary festival in the country! With Bush damper at the Scone Literary Festival listening to bush poets about the country life, cattle yards, shearing sheds, the pub, so many jokes. Loved it ... and the damper too.

I signed a poppy leaf in a tiny town. Kids across the country have made memorials. We all remember today. 100 years since WORLD WAR 1 at 11am on the 11th today - Armistice Centenary 2018 - A Page for Dedication - it always brings tears.

Women's fiction panel was hot and steamy at Scone Literary Festival with Diana Thompson, and Harlequin Romance author Michelle Douglas. But of course I loved the 3rd panelist, my friend author Pamela Cook who writes Rural Fiction. Pam was fabulous getting to the heart of women's writing.

Pamela and I are writer ambassadors for Room to Read Australia bringing literacy to more than 12 million women and children in Asia and Africa. Soooo it was wonderful to catch up with her in beautiful Scone, New South Wales.

Poetry Flash - you can’t miss it, since there’s a big cow bell clanging calling everyone. A poet jumps up. You know it’s poet because POET is written on their T-shirts. Fun at Scone Literary Festival.

Just love everything about this festival - congratulations to Janie Jordan, the festival director

Poets included Paula Stevenson, Rick Wright, sponsored by Upper Hunter Shire Council
